A great place to start is doing a pre-trade course at your local Training Facility (like SIT). Once you’ve nailed that, the next step is enrolling with MITO.
It takes 4 years to complete the NZ Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering which includes both practical and theory elements.
MITO also offer an Automotive Parts & Accessories Apprenticeship.
Our top apprentices have the opportunity to travel to Brisbane to compete at the annual John Deere Technician Awards.
